This is where we are staying. It is a wonderful site that is small and friendly. It is very well set out with a small road going all around the site to enable you to get to your pitch. The kids also love scooting around it and jumping over the road humps!
The pitches are very large and generous…. Our 7m x 4m tent fits on, with a side canopy and the car and there is still plenty of room. It has a games room with pool, table tennis, air hockey, football table and a tv which is currently showing the Olympics. In front of the games room is a small play area. There is also open space in the middle of the field that means that the children have plenty of room for football, kite flying, frisbee etc.
Next to the games room is a lovely cafe. You can eat in or take away and not only are the prices very reasonable, the portions are very generous! Their homemade chocolate cake is to die for.
There is a little shop that stocks all of the basics- a morning paper, milk, bread, bacon and eggs and sweets and ice creams for the kids too! They also keep some of your basic camping essentials just in case.
The toilets and showers are immaculate. Not only are they kept extremely clean, but there is plenty of them and you rarely have to queue for the showers. Washing up facilities are undercover and once again, there are plenty of sinks to go around.
The owners are lovely and very helpful- lending us some tape to strap up a split pole, and they do come around in the evenings to check people are quiet for 11pm, making sure that everyone has a pleasant stay.
The site is well placed for visiting Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hastings and Beachy Head!
I’d really like to recommend this site whole heartedly to anyone thinking of camping down this way…… But I can’t- I need to make sure I can still get a pitch next year!!!!!
